Your privacy matters to ONPChat. This policy explains what information is collected
when you use the ONPChat application and website, and how it is used and protected.
By using ONPChat, you agree to the following.
1) Information We Collect
- Mobile number — used to create an account and to authenticate you with a verification code.
- Name and (optionally) email address and profile picture that you enter yourself.
- Message and file content — stored on our servers to deliver it and to keep your chat history available on your other devices (and after reinstalling), until you or the other party delete it.
- Location — only when you tap “Send location” or “Live location” in a chat, and only for that chat.
- Camera and microphone — only for voice/video calls, voice/video messages and photos you take yourself; call audio and video are not recorded or stored.
- Personal reminders (optional) — if you turn on the medication reminder or the personal (menstrual) calendar, the schedule or dates you enter are stored only to create those reminders. They are never used for advertising, never sold or shared, and are deleted when you turn the feature off or delete your account. These reminders are personal tools, not medical advice.
- Backup (optional) — if you turn on backup, a copy of your chats, contacts and app settings is stored on our server (optionally encrypted with your own password).
- Technical information — device type and model, app version, notification token (to deliver notifications), crash reports and call-quality statistics (without any audio or message content) for stability and troubleshooting.
2) How We Use Information
- Providing the messaging service and delivering messages between users.
- Authentication, account security, and preventing misuse.
- Improving performance and supporting users.
3) Sharing with Others
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with third-party
advertisers. Information is used only when legally required or to provide the service itself
(such as sending a verification code via an SMS service).
4) Security
We use encryption methods and access controls to protect data. However, no method of transmission
or storage is 100% secure; we make every effort to protect your data in the best possible way.
5) Data Retention and Deletion
Information is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and data
in the app (Profile → Edit profile → Delete account) or by email; what is deleted is explained on the
account deletion page.
Reporting abuse
You can report any message, user, group or channel from inside the app. Reports are reviewed and,
where needed, the content or account is removed.
6) Children's Privacy
This service is not designed for children under the legal age, and we do not knowingly collect
information from them.
7) Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time; the new version will be published on this same page.
